Calgary, AB to Granview Campground in Garnum, AB
We got the rain today! We could see and hear the storm rolling. Pitter patter came during breakfast and the hard rain hit after we started riding. Primarily I was with William and Caleb, but a new rider by the name of Liz joined us for a bit too.
Rain, detours, and unpredictable bike paths made for a messy morning. We spent our first 15km in a very jolly mood despite the rain. At about 15km was when Caleb did a drift. The bike path made a sharp turn on a downhill which we were all unprepared for. While I slowed barely enough, Caleb made for a drift! Not until about 90km into the ride did we notice he had torn the rubber top layer off his tire, likely because of that drift.
The rain stopped around 10am, shortly after we arrived at our church lunch stop. Lunch featured old ladies with hot soup, as well as sandwiches and desserts!
We were blessed with good tail wind and fair weather for the rest of the ride.

Lots of beautiful yellow fields of rapeseed used for Canola oil. I learned Canola stands for Canada oil, low acid.
