Sunday in Vernon, BC
The bugs were so bad sleeping outside last night that I moved into the school sometime in the early morning.
We don't bike on Sundays. breakfast we had banana pancakes, bacon, and sausage patties. Sunday breakfasts will usually be done up a bit since it's a weekend off day. I went to Alliance Church with a volunteer named Michael and a rider friend named Caleb. The sermon highlighted the history of Canada and how Christianity is part of Canada's history.
After church Caleb and I made a trip to the local skatepark. William up with us just to hang out. While Caleb and I skated about, William sat in the shade. Being quite hot out, we all went over the the little kid splash pad to cool down. Quite the looks from parents, but the kids didn't seem to mind! For lunch us three got Little Caesars and some soda. William went walking back to camp, only a measly 6km.. a long walk really. Caleb and I skated for a bit more and then also started our walk back. Hitch hiking didn't work but we luckily caught a shuttle bus for Sea to Sea that was going to and from Walmart. The bus picked up William about a half kilometer later and we all rejoiced to stop walking even through we had already gone about 4-5km.
Supper is unknown to me yet. Tomorrow's ride is pleasantly short, and there's a skatepark in town!
