Golden, BC to Lake Louise Campground in Lake Louise, AB

Caleb and I did find a skatepark last night. It wasn't busy at around 5:30pm when we got into camp but it was plenty busy around 9:30pm after supper and chores. When we had gotten into camp we went for a jump and shower in the mountain glacier fed river.
Sleeping under the truck had less musquitos than usual and I slept through the train noise. It was hard to get up in the morning as we made the change into mountain time, which meant we lost an hour. Once I got started on the ride, one of the mounts to my rack snapped. It's an aluminum piece from the rack to the seat post area. It mostly stabilizes the rack so I was able to keep the rack from swinging back using a zip-tie around my seat post. Have yet to permanently deal with the problem.
The ride was uneventful enough itself. It was a day of gradual climbing with steeper sections as well. First cold in the morning before the valley's warmed up and then quite hot in the mid 30's in the afternoon. We did pass from British Columbia to Alberta today!
Dinner featured BBQ chicken on buns, beans (the wonderful fruit), salad stuff that I don't eat, baby carrots, and watermelon. I made it part way into the river but not to Lake Louise. Instead of taking a van ride to the lake I walked to the locql bar with William and had my first legal beer. For my kzoo folk, I didn't get sloshed.
